Neighbourhood celebrations
THE Mareeba Community Centre has been bustling with activity this week holding daily events to mark Neighbourhood Centre Celebration Week.

Held from 11-16 May, the week highlights the importance of neighbourhood centres across Australia and their role in offering support, connection and opportunities for those in need.
The Mareeba Community Centre has already held a Mindful Mandalas morning on Monday and a drumming session with Lee on Tuesday.
Today’s (Wednesday) morning activity is “Spaghetti with Chetty” and tomorrow will feature “Pieces of Us” with Kate. All activities are held from 10am until midday.
Friday’s finale will be held from 12noon until 2pm, and is a Community Connection Fun Day, with activities including graffiti chalk art, paint and plant, face painting and a sausage sizzle.
Everyone is welcome to attend at the centre in Byrnes Street.
