The Atherton school marked an important milestone when it officially opened its new Music Building and Stage II Distance Education Administration facility last week.

The new buildings will create more learning opportunities for students and will also cater to a growing student community.

Students will benefit from an enhanced music program, with specialised spaces for rehearsals and performances, while those studying at the school via distance education will enjoy high-quality digital content from the brand-new recording studios.

The projects were jointly funded by the college and the Australian Government’s Capital Grants Program (CGP).

The official opening ceremony was attended by Tablelands Mayor Rod Marti, along with Councillors Con Spanos and Annette Haydon, who joined staff and student leaders in celebrating the college’s continued growth.
