Mr Moro, who is the current QFVG Chair, will oversee the organisation’s strategic direction and key priorities until a permanent appointment is made.

Supporting Mr Moro will be chief finance and operating officer, Tracy Artiach, who will manage day-to-day operational activities to ensure continuity across QFVG’s programs and services to members.

Mr Moro said the arrangements would provide stability and continuity during the leadership transition.

“We have a strong team and a clear direction. These arrangements will ensure we continue delivering for members and representing the interests of Queensland’s fruit, vegetable, and nut growers,” he said.

This announcement follows the resignation of QFVG CEO Rachel Chamber in September following her appointment by the Crisafulli Government to the role of Queensland Food Farmers’ Commissioner.

“On behalf of the Board, I congratulate Rachel on her appointment. She leaves QFVG stronger and more future-focused. We thank her sincerely for her leadership and wish her every success in this important new role,” Mr Moro said.

The recruitment process for QFVG’s next Chief Executive Officer is now underway. Interested parties wishing to apply for the role should contact Stephanie Kelly from Recruit With Me on 0413 631 231 or stephanie@recruitwithme.com.au for further information.
