New cruises to explore lake
A NEW tourism operation offering scenic calm-water cruises on Lake Tinaroo has kicked off.
Created by local resident Megan Brooks, Cruise Tinaroo has been designed for visitors who want to slow down, enjoy the calm waters of Lake Tinaroo and experience the beauty of the area from a different perspective.
A comfortable pontoon-style vessel operates morning cruises, sunset cruises and private charters.
“Lake Tinaroo is such a special place, and there is something really beautiful about seeing it from the water,” Mrs Brooks said.
“I wanted to create an experience that feels relaxed, welcoming and personal. It is not rushed.
“It is about enjoying the scenery, spotting wildlife, learning a little about the lake and simply taking time to appreciate where you are,” she said.
Two 90-minute cruises operate daily from the Tinaburra Drive boat ramp at Yungaburra, with a maximum of eight people.
