New Kuranda Eco Arts Festival
A NEW annual Kuranda Eco Arts Festival will transform the Kuranda Amphitheatre into a vibrant celebration of local artists, creativity, environmental awareness and community connection this Saturday.

Running from 2pm to 10pm, the festival will bring together local artists, musicians, environmental groups and community organisations for an afternoon and evening of live music, eco workshops, art installations, film screenings, market stalls and family-friendly activities.
Kuranda Amphitheatre Society president Brioni McGrath said the event was created to celebrate the incredible creativity that existed throughout our region.
“The Eco Arts Festival is about bringing people together. It’s a chance to support local artists, connect with environmental ideas, learn new skills and enjoy a great day out in one of the most unique venues in our region,” she said.
Highlights include live performances from local musicians, creative workshops, environmental discussions through the Climate Café, film screenings from Desert Pea Media and Protect Native Forests Now, an epic upcycled stage installation, street theatre, stilt walkers, market stalls and activities for all ages.
Visitors can relax in the beer garden on the terraces, enjoy healthy refreshments and tuck into delicious home-cooked food while taking in an afternoon and evening of music, art, creativity and community activities.
Tickets are just $10 for adults, $20 for families and free for children.
