New print run of Misty Mountain Anthology
THE launch for A Misty Mountain Anthology, produced by the Millaa Millaa Writers last month, was an “overwhelming success” with all copies of the book sold out on the day.
Organisers said due to the “extraordinary local support” at the launch, on 14 June at the Millaa Millaa Hotel, “the initial print run of the highly anticipated book completely sold out on the day of the release”.
“A Misty Mountain Anthology is a heartfelt collection of short stories and poems dedicated to the land, the people, and the spirit of Millaa Millaa,” a spokesperson said.
Following the debut, the creators were thrilled that a new shipment of books went into production.
From 4 July, copies have been available to buy locally at the Millaa Millaa Market and the Millaa Millaa Museum.
For readers outside the region, the anthology was also available for direct online purchase through Amazon.
The Millaa Millaa Writers is a community-driven group of emerging and experienced local storytellers who celebrate the unique atmosphere of the Atherton Tablelands’ famous “Village in the Mist”.
