Pack a Pencil Case Challenge

CENTACARE FNQ’s School Savvy FNQ campaign is inviting workplaces, classrooms and community groups across the region to join the “Pack a Pencil Case Challenge”, a hands-on way to help local children head back to school prepared and confident.

The challenge is simple:

1. Buy a pencil case.

2. Fill it with new school supplies.

3. Label it Primary or Secondary.

4. Drop it off by Friday 12 December at any local Vinnies store.

Centacare FNQ executive director Anita Veivers said the annual initiative embodied the spirit of community and giving.

“Every item helps. Every act of giving matters. Together, we can make sure every child walks into school with the tools and confidence they need to learn,” she said.

All donations will support the 2026 School Savvy FNQ back-to-school campaign, which provides affordable school essentials for families doing it tough.
