The Ratings judge spirits from across the world on their quality, value for money and what they look like.

Scoring 83 points, Skybury Vodka came home with a silver for its “aromas of gravel road with chalky mineral characteristics on the palate” and “lingering ethanol finish”.

Skybury CEO Candy MacLaughlin said attracting further international recognition was invaluable in gaining more distribution points and more market attention.

“USA Spirits Ratings are to recognise, reward and promote spirit brands successfully created to identify and target a specific spirits drinker,” she said.

“For any spirits brand to earn its place on a retailer’s shelf or a restaurant’s spirits list and then stay there - they need to be market-able and consumer-driven.

“That is why the USA Spirits Ratings is important – they spot-light those spirit brands consumers really want to buy, identifying a clear market value for liquor trade buyers,” she said.
