Paronellas to headline rotunda
MUSIC lovers are invited to enjoy a special afternoon of live entertainment when the much-loved and well-known local duo Joe and Wendy Paronella perform at the Yungaburra Community Rotunda this Sunday.
Well known across the Tablelands and beyond as “The Paronellas,” the couple has been sharing their love of music since they first met in 1977. Their long-standing musical partnership has made them a favourite among audiences of all ages.
With guitarist and lead vocalist Joe’s powerful voice complemented beautifully by Wendy’s vocal harmonies, the duo presents a wide selection of popular music.
Their repertoire spans rock & roll, middle-of-the-road favourites, and country rock, ensuring an enjoyable and engaging experience for all.
Set in the picturesque surrounds of Yungaburra, the free concert offers the perfect opportunity to sit back and relax while enjoying music that will keep your toes tapping or, for those inclined, get up and dance the afternoon away.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring along a chair or picnic rug and enjoy the welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere that Sunday in the Park events are known for.
Adding to the afternoon’s enjoyment, The Whippy Express will be onsite with refreshments available for purchase.
While this is a free event, attendees are warmly encouraged to support the performers, with donations able to be made directly to Joe and Wendy on the day.
In the event of wet weather, the concert will be relocated to the Yungaburra Community Hall. Parking is available via Short Street for convenient access to the Rotunda.
The event is from 3pm-5pm.
