Pipe band set to entertain
ONE of the region’s much-loved musical groups will return to Yungaburra’s Rotunda for a free concert on Sunday.
The Sunday in the Park concert, hosted by the Yungaburra Community Rotunda, will feature the United Tableland Pipe Band.
Well known across the region, the band is a familiar presence at ANZAC Day, VP Day, and community commemorations, as well as local shows, rodeos, and street marches.
Audiences can expect a stirring program of traditional pipe music, bagpipe covers of other music. There will also be singing and folk music to enjoy.
The concert will go from 4pm-6pm. In the event of rain, the concert will be held at the Yungaburra Recreation Shed, Barrine Road (next to the tennis courts).
This is a free, family-friendly event, with the option to make a donation directly to the band.
Refreshments are available from nearby shops, and parking is accessible via Short Street.
