Planned QPWS burn warning
A PLANNED burn in Tumoulin National Park is expected to continue until the end of the month, with smoke expected to be seen in nearby areas including Ravenshoe, Tumoulin, and Millstream areas.

Queensland National Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) began the burn last Wednesday and will continue to 31 October, weather permitting.
QPWS asks all visitors to the area to observe all signs and barriers, follow directions from rangers and never enter closed areas.
“Avoid driving through smoke where possible and be aware of firefighters working in the area,” it said in a statement.
“If smoke affects you, please take all necessary precautions, which may include staying indoors and closing windows and doors.”
