Plaque unveiling part of VP day 80th anniversary
THE 80th anniversary of Victory in the Pacific (VP) was marked with special events on the Tablelands, centred mostly around Rocky Creek which played a major role in our region’s participation in World War 11.
A ceremony on Sunday involved a dedication and unveiling of plaques at the war memorial witnessed by Rob McMahon (pictured above) whose father, Private John McMahon, was recognised on the day.
