Reseal work for road to start
MAINTENANCE works on sections of Mareeba-Dimbulah Road will start this week.

The works by the Department of Transport and Main Roads will involve bitumen resealing to extend the life of the road pavement and reduce the formation of potholes.
The department says this will improve safety and travelling conditions for road users.
Crews will be onsite between 6am and 6pm from 14 August, with the works expected to be completed in two days, weather and construction conditions permitting.
For the safety of road users and maintenance crews, changed traffic conditions will be in place including temporary speed limit reductions, and single lane operation under coordination of traffic controllers and/or traffic signals while the works are carried out.
Nearby properties may experience noise associated with the works, such as the sound of trucks, light machinery and vibrations while the work is carried out.
