Roll up for come and try day
A FUN and free come and try day will be held by the Tableland Roller Derby League this weekend.
For those who have ever wanted to learn to roller skate or are intrigued about roller derby, this is the perfect event for them.
“We have two of these come and try days a year. People can come and roller skate without having to join up with us. So they can have the chance to see if they like roller skating first of all, but also if they want to start with roller derby,” event organiser Jennifer Walsh said.
The club will provide skates and gear for all who attend, people just need to bring their own socks. There will also be skating instructors to help guide you around the rink.
The come and try day will be hosted in the Atherton State High School Hall this Sunday from 3pm-4pm.
