Roll up for gambling funds
LOCAL not-for-profit organisations are being encouraged to take advantage of the latest Gambling Community Benefit Fund for up to $35,000 in funding.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program, with organisations able to apply for funding to support a range of projects, including upgrading and renovating community facilities; installing solar systems and shade sails; buying equipment and delivering training; and holding community events.
Applications for Round 125 will close at midnight on 31 October.
Member for Cook David Kempton said the Gambling Community Benefit Fund had become a vital source of funding for local community and not-for-profit groups.
“These organisations are at the heart of our region and Gambling Community Benefit Fund grants often go a long way to support them,” he said.
“The Crisafulli Government is proud to back locals and I’d encourage groups who help deliver projects and activities important to our community to apply.
“I look forward to congratulating the successful recipients in Round 125 from the Cook electorate.”
