Roosters secure spot in semi’s
THE Atherton Roosters have secured a spot in the major semi final after securing a 22-10 win against the Tully Tigers at the weekend.

The Roosters booked their spot in the second round of the finals after finishing their season in second place with 13 wins and just three losses.
The Atherton side travelled to Tully and found a win for their final game. Tries came from centre Brad Hammond, prop James Coyle, fullback Regan Herd, and winger Shamish O’Quinn. Regan Herd kicked three from four conversions.
The Roosters have a week off this week and will return for the second round of the semi finals next week.
The Atherton Roosters Reserve Grade side have also booked a spot in the semi finals despite narrowly losing to Tully at the weekend.
The Roosters were beaten 28-24 but still finished their season in fourth place. Tries went to centres Shane Graham and Cale Melville-Simmons, and winger Tom Cuda scored himself a double.
This weekend, the Roosters Reserve’s will travel back to Tully for a rematch against the Tigers in the minor semi final.
