Rotunda ready for a bit of country
SOUNDS of country music will resonate through Bruce Jones Park in Yungaburra this Sunday when Country Folk Bloke, Mitch Humphries, performs at the town’s Rotunda.
The monthly Sunday in the Park concert will be held on Sunday from 4pm to 6pm.
This month’s featured performer is local favourite bringing an authentic slice of country life to the heart of Yungaburra.
Mitch Humphries grew up on Aussie farms and spent much of his life dairy farming on the rolling hills of Millaa Millaa on the Atherton Tablelands.
A natural storyteller and engaging singer-songwriter, Mitch performs in a relaxed country/folk style that reflects his deep connection to rural life.
His original songs cover all the familiar country themes – dogs, utes, boots, and even pondering what stops the universe from imploding!
Combined with foot-tapping, easy-listening covers of classic country favourites and campfire sing-along tunes, Mitch promises an enjoyable afternoon of music, laughter and community spirit.
Refreshments will be available for purchase from The Whippy Express. In the event of wet weather, the performance will move to the Yungaburra Community Hall.
