Tablelands Regional Council is hosting two free Seniors on the Road sessions later this year.

“Seniors on the Road supports drivers over 55 to stay safe, confident and independent by keeping them up to date with road rules and safe driving practices,” Mayor Rod Marti said.

“The free sessions, delivered in partnership with Department of Transport and Main Roads and Queensland Police Service, provide practical strategies on navigating roads, understanding the link between health and driving, and planning for the future.

“The sessions are inclusive and accessible, and provide a supportive space for seniors to share experiences and ask questions, with expert guidance.”

The sessions will be held on 28 November and 5 December from 10am-11am at the Coordination Centre, 15 Vernon Street, Atherton.

Places are limited so register online (trc.qld.gov.au/seniors-on-the-road) or at 1300 362 242 by Friday 7 November.
