Set to celebrate business excellence

IT’S time to celebrate the region’s outstanding business operators, with nominations for the annual Tablelands Business Excellence Awards now open.

The awards recognise and showcase exceptional local business operators and service providers, acknowledging their hard work, exceptional business acumen and outstanding commitment to the community.

There are 10 diverse categories and the coveted Champion Business Award and People’s Choice Award up for grabs.

Categories are: Community Contribution Excellence; Customer Service Excellence; Employer of Choice; Environmental Sustainability in Business; Food and Agribusiness Excellence; New and Emerging Business; Technology and Innovation Impact; Tourism Business Excellence; Business Person of the Year; and Young Businessperson of the Year.

All nominating businesses and organisations are eligible for the People’s Choice Award, with the exclusion of the Young Business Person of the Year and Business Person of the Year.

People’s Choice voting will open from 9am on Monday 11 May.

This year’s award finalists and recipients will be announced at a gala ceremony to be held at the Atherton International Club on Saturday 30 May.

Businesses and individuals need to nominate themselves. Nominations for the 2026 awards close at 5pm on Friday 8 May.

A mandatory requirement for all categories is that the business or individual applying must be located in the Tablelands Regional Council Local Government Area at the time of nomination, judging of the awards and the awards ceremony.
