Shaping a new space

KURANDA residents are being asked to give Mareeba Shire Council their views on what they would like to be in a new playground to be created near Kuranda Library and Bartley Park.

It is anticipated the new playground construction will commence during 2026.

To have your say, council officers will be on-site at the Kuranda Community Precinct this Friday from 9.30am-12.30pm, or locals can complete an online survey which is open until 28 October.

Councillors will also attend a “Connecting with Community Session” on Monday 13 October between 4pm-6pm if residents want to have a chat.
