Shoe shop stands test of time
THE Graeme Shoe Store celebrated its 66th birthday last Wednesday, with owners, previous owners, friends, family, and customers turning out.

The quaint shoe shop on Mareeba’s main drag has been servicing locals for the better half of six decades now, and owner of five years Des Rowe thought it deserved to be recognised.
“It’s good to see some people here, a few of them came because they know Angie and Victor – they’re well known in the town,” he said.

Des also said he had been in the shoe business for about 60 years and always enjoyed visiting the Mareeba store and its customers.
