2021 season over for young Roosters

SEASON 2021 has ended for the Atherton Senior Roosters under 18 side after they went down 24-10 to Kangaroos in Saturday’s Cairns District Rugby League preliminary final played at Barlow Park.

AFTER a solid start which gave them a 10-4 lead at the break, the young Roosters fell away in the second stanza to allow Kangaroos to cross for four unanswered and claim the points.

Atherton’s first half tries came through Tom Cuda and Ryan Gallagher. Kangaroos have now advanced trough to meet Edmonton Storm in the grand final.

CDRL grand finals for this Saturday, October 9 at Barlow Park in Cairns. 

Game times: 3pm Under 18 Kangaroos vs Edmonton Storm, 5pm reserve grade Innisfail vs Ivanhoes, 7pm first grade Innisfail vs Yarrabah.
