THE Mareeba United Football Club celebrated the year that was on Saturday night with their end of season presentation night.

Players, sponsors and supporters came together to celebrate the clubs achievementsof the 2020 season.
Football was one of only a few team sports that worked around the COVID restrictions and it seemed to have paid off with a successful season and finals series.
Major awards on the night went Milan Quintieri, who was the best male player for the club winning the Player of the Year award, while Samantha Cater and Farrah Boustead tied for Player of the Year for the ladies.
The Rising Star award went to Jon Gambino and Bryce Cummings.
With no Summer Sixes this year the club will regroup and look forward to 2021.
