Paniagua dominates country Cups in style

MAREEBA lottery horse Paniagua competed at the Country Cups Challenge in Brisbane on Saturday and kept his fine form taking home yet another win.

MAREEBA lottery horse Paniagua competed at the Country Cups Challenge in Brisbane on Saturday and kept his fine form taking home yet another win.

Paniagua qualified for theCountry Cups Challenge several weeks ago after racing inCairns and was put up against the best country gallopers in Queensland. 

This didn’t slow him down as Paniagua dominated the race and won by several lengths. 

Paniagua’s trainer Alex Malliff was extremely happywith his performance during the race. 

"He’s an impressive horse a big beautiful animal and he takes everything in his stride,” he said. 

“He cost us $600 dollars and he’s now earned $250,000. 

“Paniagua has been invitedto start in The Gateway race at Eagle Farm on Saturday which is a $250,000 dollar race.” 

After being entered into The Gateway race, Paniagua also receives an invitation to enter into the StradbrokeHandicap in the Winter Carnival next year.
