Tennis tournament done and dusted
The Mareeba Tennis Club held their Mazda Mitsubishi Tennis Tournament in October which saw a new doubles events being added to their regular schedule.
Chris Ellison and Lisa Bertoldo were crowned Mareeba Tennis Club Champions after the Mazda Mitsubishi Tennis Tournament in mid-October
The tournament took place from October 16 to 18 and saw players from all ages in the club coming to participate and vying to come out as winners.
The new doubles event was played on Friday night with player’s ages being added together to fit into an 80 or 100 years plus category.
This resulted in a mixed bag of players with varying ages and skill levels which all added up to some fun and interesting games.
Saturday saw the A and B Grade doubles being played while Sunday saw Chris Ellison and Lisa Bertoldo crowned club champions after their singles games.
