Studs open gates for beef day
SHOWING off their cattle during Better Beef Open Day on Sunday were Adam, Kira and Aaleah Hayes from AK Brahmans which positioned its best animals at the Malanda showgrounds for the event.
The stud, run by Aaron and Kirsty Hayes, was one of 14 who took part in the annual event across the region which featured 13 different breeds.
The Hayes have been producing on their property for many years, with Aaron’s interest in breeding starting when he was just 15 years old.
The Better Beef Open Day has been running for seven years and, from all accounts, the good weather helped to attract visitors to all studs involved.
