Throw on a flanno for farmers
AS farming families across Australia continue to battle natural disasters, rising costs and financial hardship, Australians are being urged to register, donate and throw on a flanno this August in support of Farm Angels’ annual Flanno for a Farmer campaign.

The official day takes place on 14 August, with workplaces, schools, sporting clubs and communities invited to “throw on a flanno” and help raise vital funds for farmers in need.
Since launching Flanno for a Farmer, Australians have raised more than $1.269 million to help Farm Angels deliver practical assistance to farming families, including emergency financial relief, food hampers, care packs, financial assistance and ongoing mental health and wellbeing support when they need it most.
Farm Angels founder Natasha Johnston said Australians could make a real difference through one simple act.
“Farming families are facing enormous challenges right now, and many are carrying those burdens quietly. Throwing on a flanno is a simple way to show they’re not alone, but it’s the donations behind it that allow us to provide practical support when families need it most,” she said.
“Every registration, every donation and every person who throws on a flanno helps us continue supporting farming families through some of the toughest times of their lives. Together, we can remind them that someone cares.”
Australian rural outfitter RB Sellars is producing the official 2026 Farm Angels Flannos, with 100% of sales from every Limited Edition Flanno for a Farmer Shirt going directly to Farm Angels to help support Aussie farmers.
