Tolga projects on drawing board
A SMALL shopping centre for Tolga and a new service station nearby are the subject of two development applications currently being assessed by Tablelands Regional Council.

Tom Hedley’s HEDZ Construction Pty Ltd is seeking an approval for a Material Change of Use of land at 61-63 Main Street, Tolga, to build two single-storey buildings to establish a small-scale shopping centre comprising four tenancies.
The application includes providing 12 onsite car parking spaces for use by shoppers and visitors.
The proposed development would be done in two stages with three tenancies located at the front of the site forming Stage 1 and the fourth tenancy located at the rear of the site as part of Stage 2.
Because the site is located within 100m of the Kennedy Highway, the Department of Transport and Main Roads will be asked for its assessment of whether the development would have any impact on the intersection with Main Street.
TRC is also assessing a proposal for a new service station at the corner of the Kennedy Highway and Turpin Drive.
The proposed fuel station would be established opposite John Cole Toyota.
