Tradie golf fun
PLENTY of meat trays and other prizes will be up for grabs at Mareeba Golf Club’s Tradie Golf Day this week.
Local golfers can enjoy a fun, social 9 holes of golf this Friday afternoon at the Mareeba course as it hosts the May round for the popular Tradie's Day event.
This month’s event is sponsored by local butchery Russo’s Quality Meats, which means there will be plenty of quality meat trays up for grabs as prizes.
No handicap is required to play and players will need to secure a spot by 4pm Thursday. Following the match players can enjoy a barbecue, which is included in registration fees, before a presentation ceremony where winners will be announced and prizes awarded.
The 9-hole, 2-ball ambrose competition – with a cost of just $20 per player – will be held this Friday from 3.30pm, with players asked to arrive by 3pm. Cart availability is limited, to book a spot and a cart, contact the club on 4092 1528.
