$663K funds for hall upgrades
TWO community halls in the Mareeba Shire have attracted $663,000 in funding.

The halls are among six in Far North Queensland to share in $2 million of funding.
The Kuranda Hall, managed by the Queensland Country Women’s Association, will get $352,000, while the Koah Hall will receive $321,000.
Minister for Families, Seniors and Disability Services Amanda Camm said the halls played an integral role in facilitating community recovery, particularly throughout Tropical Cyclone Jasper.
“From re-surfacing carparks to installing generators, we are ensuring these halls can continue to show up for their communities at a grass-roots level” she said.
“The contribution of each hall to community connectedness and resilience cannot be underestimated, and I am proud to be part of a government focused on delivering for all of Queensland.”
