PARENTS and guardians wanting to enrol their kids into sport should take advantage of the State Government’s Play On! Sports Vouchers.

The vouchers are valued up to $200 and help reduce membership fees and participation costs for kids aged between five and 17.

Parents can choose to use the vouchers for either summer or winter sport, while there will remain a dedicated allocation for children living with a disability, and for kids living in regional and remote areas.

Over 293,800 Queensland kids benefited from the program in its first year last year, with data revealing soccer (52,529), rugby league (33,972), and netball (27,369) were the most popular sports for kids in the state.

More than 3,750 Queensland sporting clubs are now accepting the vouchers, with almost 2,500 clubs offering disability programs.

Applications opened last Monday and can be made via https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/playon
