Winning big for shopping local
Four lucky local shoppers from the Tablelands have been rewarded for their commitment to supporting local businesses, winning $500 worth of vouchers through The Express Newspapers Christmas Vouchers Giveaway.
EACH year The Express Newspaper joins with 40 local businesses and the Mareeba Chamber of Commerce to encourage residents to shop local and be rewarded.
The vouchers can be used at any Tablelands business that participated in the competition.
40 businesses on the Tablelands put their hands up to be apart of this year’s competition and offer locals who supported them $500 to inject back into the community.
This year’s winners were Ornella Curcio who got her winning ticket from shopping at the world’s best IGA, Fresh St Market IGA, Whitney Mitchell who stopped into the humpy and picked up her ticket, Monique Foxwell from spending some time with friends and family at the Mareeba Leagues Club and Rena Ceola who shopped at Color Studio.
