The young Roosters side finished off their impressive season with a dominant 58-4 win over Tully at the weekend and just narrowly edged out Cairns Brothers for the minor premiership, with a points differential of 34 points being the deciding factor.

The Atherton young guns overpowered their Tully opponents 11 tries to one.

This week they will enjoy a week off before returning for the major semi final round.

The Under 19 Gladiators are also through to the finals following a 34-18 win over the Mossman Sharks.

They finished in sixth place after their win and were able to clinch a spot in the first round of the semi finals.

The Under 19 Gladiators will make the trek down to Tully this weekend where they will face up against the Cairns Kangaroos and try and keep their finals run alive.
