Youngster picks up win in debut fight
A YOUNG martial artist from Mareeba found success in his debut fight recently.
Nine-year-old Liam Miller found a win in his recent debut fight.
Liam Miller from Mareeba’s Spirit of Muay Thai gym debuted at the recent Fight NQ Promotions event in Cairns and came away with a win after a unanimous decision.
“Liam put on an outstanding performance, showcasing excellent technique, composure, and determination throughout the fight,” SMT coach Rosario Signorino said.

“All the hard work and dedication he’s put into training truly paid off. A big thank you to Kru Salvo for taking him down and guiding him through the day, and to our amazing SMT team for all the support, encouragement, and cheering him on from start to finish.
“We’re incredibly proud of Liam and excited to see what comes next in his Muay Thai journey.”
